●●●•☆☆ Today's book is: “The Art of War” book, which was written by the Chinese military commander, "Sun Tzu," and it is considered one of the most famous classic books on the art of war. However, any attentive reader of the book cannot help but drop the rules and principles that the book has folded on our daily reality, in order to extract from it strategic advice to confront its daily struggles.
What made the book one of the most famous Chinese books immortalized by history and influenced the history of mankind is that it is considered a major reference for books on management, commerce, business, and leadership in general. The book was not just about military leaders, but the ideas it contained inspired politicians, economists, and entrepreneurs to deal with their competitors in strategic ways, but also to athletes in sports matches.
First and foremost, Sun Tzu advises us for the first time to avoid war! It is not cost-effective and harmful to both parties, but if the matter is inevitable - as we face in our daily struggle - then he advises us to continue to control the stages of war. Here we put in your hands some of the rules that the author listed in his book, and from here we will address the six rules of strategic thinking:; 1 / Planning: The writer tells us about this rule that we must use the mind to visualize and plan the result we want, and even move towards this result. He asserts that a well-thought-out plan for war can mean the difference between life and death!
Sun Tzu says:
"Knowing your enemy knows you how to defend, and your knowledge of yourself knows you how to attack. If you get to know yourself and study your enemy well, you cannot lose even if you fought 100 battles."
He also mentioned to us the five main factors that must always be observed which are: the moral law, the surrounding environment, the leader, the methods and means compatible with the current situation. Thus, the author guides us here to the necessity of studying the circumstances surrounding us, as well as the enemy that we face, who is he, what are his strengths and weaknesses, and it is not just the enemy!
But we have to study ourselves well and know our true potential. For example, if you want to start your own business, you must first know your resources and study your capabilities well, and also know your competitors well. 2: Wars are based on deception and deception: Sun Tzu says: War is a hoax, and all acts of war depend on deception and deception. And we can benefit from this rule in our personal life, is that we cannot reveal all of our papers to everyone all the time, not every thing we do we tell others!
"Let your plans be dark and impenetrable at night, and when they move, be like a thunderbolt."
For example, if you own your own company, you cannot disclose your plans or even the services you provide all at once, you must keep some of your papers away from your competitors, so that you do not exhaust your resources all at once.
3: Study your area well: Sun Tzu tells us that the most important thing in warfare is to study the environment and conditions around you well! You cannot win a war whose nature you do not know very well.
“When you hear thunder, it does not mean that you hear well, and when you see the sun, it does not mean that you see well.”
For example, if you want to start your own business in a region, the first thing you have to do is study the conditions of that area; Is it a good environment to start with, does its climate suit your project? For example, are the services that your company or store will provide that residents of this area need? How many companies have achieved profits and wide success in one country and failed greatly in others 4: Start your war only when you are ready: The writer tells us in this part, that your primary goal should not be to wage wars, but win first, then decide to go to war again. The supreme superiority consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting. Do not resort to these wars unless you have to, and do not start them unless you have the strength to win.
“It is the rule in war, if the enemy's strength is ten times greater, surround it. If it is fivefold, attack him. If it is a weakness, split it up. If it is equal, turn it on. If it's less, run away from it. If it is weaker, avoid it »
The writer warns us here that instead of fighting wars to win, there is an easier way, which is to wait and wait for opportunities - and create them if necessary - to defeat the enemy! We must wait for the enemy to make a mistake, and be prepared to take advantage of these mistakes. 5: Your soldiers are your children: One of the most important rules mentioned by the author is that commanders should deal with their soldiers exactly as they deal with their children. They do not pamper them and leave them in control, and at the same time they do not deal with them excessively harshly without showing any respect or appreciation.
"Treat your men as you would your beloved children, and they will follow you to the deepest valleys."
For example, when the owner of the company or the work manager treats his team members or employees as if they are a member of his family, he will inevitably find from them seriousness, loyalty, and an overwhelming desire to work to achieve more and more. The methods of cunning and cunning, and among the most important of these methods - from the writer's point of view - is reliance on spies; You must know the truth of your enemy and that is only possible by knowing him well from the inside!
When we drop that rule on our daily life, we find that it reminds us of the need to know beforehand about matters before delving into them, and that we cannot limit ourselves to what appears from them, but rather we must try to delve into the nuances of things and reveal the truth of their inner self ......... In the end, we draw the most important testimonials that came in the book ::::; If you know your capabilities and the capabilities of your opponent, then you should not fear the results of a hundred battles. And if you know your own abilities, and you do not know the capabilities of your opponent, you will suffer defeat after each victory gained. But if you are ignorant of your own capabilities, and you do not know the capabilities of your opponent ... then a certain defeat is your ally in every battle.
- "It's easy to love your friend, but sometimes the hardest lesson to learn is to love your enemy."
- “The greatest among the leaders is not the victor in a hundred battles, but rather he who does not need a fight to be victorious.”
- "The victors win first and then go to war, while the defeated go to war first and then strive to win."
- "Plan what is difficult while it is easy, do what is great while it is small." Finally, if you never take a chance, you will never win
